Almost Wordless Wednesday

October 21, 2009

A week into the diet & I’m missing food desperately. I will persevere though because I need to be thin. Saying that this morning I think I’d sell a kidney for this:

I adore McDonalds (controversial I know). It’s my favorite food. Nothing makes me feel better than a double cheeseburger. Or two. It was my main craving when pregnant with Sam. I could (and frequently did) eat 3 Maccies a day. No wonder I’m on a diet. Craig & I used to worry that Sam would come out looking like the Hamburgler or mabe this:

Luckily he was fine but now I’m wrestling with my my diet, losing weight so I’ll be around for my grandchildren and admittedly so I can wow everyone at Christmas in this gorgeous dress I have my eye on (bit too Joan Collins?). Also I really, really don’t want to end up like this:

That baby is too precious! We went to McD’s tonight. Scandalous. We left after bedtime. (The kids’.) I suppose that last picture could be called a “motivator”.

It’s definitely motivating me! Sam’s been to McD’s once when we were really stuck. He didn’t seem keen. Wasn’t sure whether to be thrilled or gutted!

Where was the warning before I saw that horrific backside? And the baby- great picture. I have to admit to preferring a Burger King whopper with cheese, but if there was only a McDonalds it would be a quarter pounder with cheese. If I’m feeling really saintly though I can sometimes get away with the humble cheeseburger. Fortunately I live miles from any takeaway…..with five children that is not such a bad thing, I may be too tempted too often not to cook a *ahem* nutritious dinner. ;0)

Love it. Very good. I raise a glass of Tiger to that. And there’s an award for you over at mine x
