Postcards from Australia 5

June 16, 2011

It’s been a beautiful day Down Under. The sun’s been shining & we hit the city. Helen took me to C Restaurant at the top of the Amcom building (St Martin’s Tower) as a late birthday present. The food is incredible! If you’re ever in Perth you have to try it. Two courses for $32. Bargain!

My starter of Gnocchi with gorgonzola, sun dried tomato & cream sauce with spinach.

Helen’s braised beef cheek with red cabbage starter. You didn’t even need to chew the beef! It actually melted!

My juicy steak with beetroot coulis & roasties. Helen had coq au vin but had demolished it by the time I remembered to get a photo!

The views were stunning. The restaurant rotates which can be slightly disconcerting but you get used to it.

Riley was totally unimpressed 🙂

Even the toilets were gorgeous! I realised I haven’t been in any pics so far so here is me in the loos. Classy. Hello!

A few hours later after a good walk around the shops it was time for a snack. Mango Delight & carrot cake.

I needed something to get over the shock of the prices! Batiste for £6! Scandalous!

I can’t say i’m a fan of Perth but it is pretty after dark. Even from a speeding car.
