Free zoo tickets for children!

August 9, 2011

As I’ve mentioned a couple of times we’ve been embarking on our Family Fun Days for a few weeks now – taking in some of the most fun places within driving distance. We pick a place, pack a picnic of off we pop! Of course none of this is turning out to be particularly cheap so we’re looking to save pennies wherever we can.

It was pretty good timing then that Tesco told me about a promotion they’re currently running – offering free children’s entry to a number of zoos around the country. There’s a huge choice of place to redeem the free tickets – we’re within driving distance of about 5 in the North West alone – including Martin Mere Wildlife Centre which we paid a fortune to visit just a fortnight ago!! Knowsley Safari Park, which is on our list of places to go to is on there too!

The free child places are to help promote their new Tesco Goodness range which is (as the blurb says)

‘a new range of healthy snacks, convenient chilled prepared meals and lunchbox fillers specifically developed to meet children’s nutritional needs, while keeping their taste buds happy, too. Kid-appeal was a big consideration so Tesco have included lots of sure-fire favourites, like sausages and mash and ice lollies, all reworked to be as nutritionally balanced as they are tasty. To make sure that even the pickiest of eaters would be satisfied Tesco called in the experts – children themselves! Every single product has passed a strict kids taste test before it could be sold in store. And the range’s colourful packaging, featuring cartoon fruit and veg, is cool enough to be seen with in the school canteen.

Parents can be rest assured that every product carrying the Goodness logo meets strict criteria for fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt. They also contain no artificial colours or flavours and many have added vitamins or calcium. Most of the range, including the chilled prepared meals, contain at least one portion of vegetables which will count towards their five a day. And with products starting at just 45p, Goodness is an affordable way to feed the family well, which should keep mums and dads happy.’

I’ve had a look at the range and it all looks really nic e- the salt is nice and low (something I always look at when buying for Sam) and it contains lots of food Sam would eat.

To claim the free child place  all you need to do is buy 2 items from the range (for a picnic lunch I’d go for the Tomato Pasta Twists snack pot and organic bananas – 2 of Sam’s favourites foods),  keep your receipt and enter the details on this site: http://www.tescozootickets.co.uk/. Simples! You have a nice lunch and a free day out for your little one.

I’ll let you know where we use our free ticket!

This is a sponsored post but all opinions are my own. I wouldn’t post about anything I didn’t agree with, like or use myself.
